江戸べっ甲×東京ネオン / Edo Bekko x Tokyo Neon
江戸時代には無かった光り輝く大都会、東京。べっ甲の新たな表現方法として「光と色」を組み合わせたneobekkoは新しい・復活・リニューアルを意味する「NEO」と東京の夜を彩るネオンの街並みから「NEON」の意味も込められています。江戸時代より貴重で高価な装飾品とされてきたべっ甲は、亀の甲羅である事から 長寿の象徴など縁起の良い品としても親しまれてきました。職人の技術の進化と共に、新たな試みとして「蛍光 ・ 蓄光」素材を用いたネオクラシックなデザインのべっ甲に仕上げました。滑らかな肌触りと艶、美しい透け感と軽い着け心地をお楽しみ下さい。
Tokyo is a glittering metropolis that did not exist in the Edo period. Neobekko combines "light and color" as a new way of expressing tortoiseshell, and also contains the meaning of "NEO" which means new, revival, and renewal, and "NEON" from the neon cityscape that colors Tokyo's nights.Tortoiseshell, which has been considered a valuable and expensive ornament since the Edo period, is also popular as an auspicious item, symbolizing longevity, as it is made from the shell of a turtle. As the craftsmanship of our craftsmen evolves, we have attempted something new by creating a neo-classical design of tortoiseshell using fluorescent and phosphorescent materials.
